The Book of the Week is Preserving Your American heritage: A Guide to Family and Local History by Norman E. Wright. This is a book from the bookshelf at the Family history Center.
This book has a lot of great information about different types of records, research, etc. Since the record this week was an early US census, if you are interested in learning more about these early records, turn to page 58. The middle paragraph describes the very first census, 1790, and the following pages explain the difference between the various census records and why they were taken.
Let me know if you have any questions, even these early census records can help!!
