Have you wondered if an ancestor might be in a family history book?
Did you know you can search for the Last name of your ancestor at FamilySearch.org to see if they might be in a family history book?
Here is how you do it!!
1. Go to FamilySearch.org and click on Search.
2. Then click on Catalog.
3. Click on Last Names and type Underwood in the search box.
4. As of September 2013 there are 212 results. Take a look at some of these. All of these books are about various surnames, but each book contains Underwoods as well. These books are located at the FHL in Salt Lake City. Sometimes there will be a link to an online book.
5. If you find a book and want to see if it is online, copy the title, go to Worldcat.org and paste the title into the search browser. You can also try a Google search or a Google Book Search.
Go back to the Last Names search and familysearch.org again, and type in one of your surnames to see what family history books you might find.
