In March of this year, 2013, I attended a class on Facebook at the RootsTech Family History conference in Salt Lake City. So, I wanted to share how you can use Facebook to help with genealogy research, and possibly find distant relatives. Watch the video below to find out how.
1. If you donít already have a FaceBook account, create one by simply going to www.facebook.com.
2. Find research communities you are interested in and do the following: like the page, get notifications if you like, and add to your interest lists. To see how to do this, fast forward through the video to the section where I describe this. Here is a link to the FaceBook page on FamilySearch.org to learn more familysearch.org/learn/wiki/en/Facebook.
3. Think about how your can share the gospel using FaceBook.
4. Please let me know if you would like help creating a FaceBook account and I will come over on your shift.
