This book is located on the bookshelf at our Lindon FHC. It is a good resource for early Scottish Colonists from 1612 to 1783. Be sure to look at the introduction to see the sources and abbreviations so if you find an ancestor, you will understand where you might be able to look for more information. The record for each individual contains a maximum of 23 points of information. So, the information will vary by person. Be sure you know what the abbreviations stand for. For instance, “tr” stands for involuntarily transported, and “sh” stands for voluntarily shipped. Following is an example from the book.
Let me know if you find an ancestor. Happy Hunting.
